System Requirements

VisionSPS and VisionSPS+ are designed to operate in a LAN or WAN client/server environment. This paperless physician database solution is comprised of several logical servers including two application servers, a database server, a file/image server and a web server. These logical servers are combined into an integrated solution package that should be run on a minimum of 4 physical machines. Although it may be possible to run the VisionSPS software solution on lesser hardware specifications, we strongly recommend the specifications outlined below. Running VisionSPS on the following specifications will yield the best user experience overall. See diagram below.

The client should ensure that their systems have been approved by IT prior to implementation. It is the client’s responsibility to provide adequate hardware, systems and infrastructure for the Vision SPS solution to operate. It is also the client’s responsibility to house all VisionSPS applications, web applications and database servers within a secure firewall, and to implement proper Internet security measures at the client’s site location.

Printers - Vision works with all printers with Postscript print drivers. Scanners - Any TWAIN-compatible flatbed scanner supported by Windows 2000 or above.

Other Third Party Software Requirements Use of the optional e-Letter Wizard requires Microsoft Word 2000 or above on each client workstation that will run the e-Letters Wizard. (All clients should use the same version of MSWord.)
