Software Developer/.NET

We are seeking a talented developer to join our development team due to company growth and our continued efforts to offer our clients and expanding markets superior products.  HealthLine Systems provides peerless information management systems to maximize the quality and delivery of healthcare services and administration.  In this position, you will be developing software applications for sale to healthcare clients and contributing to the design of web- based products into a n-tier architecture.

Essential duties involve designing, coding, debugging, documenting, deploying and maintaining new software programs in a highly efficient and effective manner. As well as, maintaining and modifying existing applications.

The successful candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science some experience/knowledge in the following areas is preferred:

Release Management Manager

The Release Management Manager will be responsible for the release process of all HLS products, including QA process, Deployment Process, and Release Management related processes. Release Manager maintains ultimate responsibility for assuring that all products are defect free, instantly deployable, with a replicable process.

Supervisor and Technical Guidance

  • Supervises, guides, supports, and mentors department staff.
  • Ensures all project deliverables meet quality, schedule, business need, and performance objectives.
  • Maintains product consistency and process repeatability throughout product cycles, to include the product design, build, and deployment methodologies.
  • Provides trouble shooting and higher tier support related to product quality issues, deployment issues, and release management related issues.

Quality Assurance

  • Manages all QA projects; establishes, monitors and reports progress against detailed product development milestones.
  • Leads black box QA specification, design, analysis, and all testing related activities.
  • Leads white box QA specification, design, analysis, and all testing related activities.
  • Implements ongoing quality improvement processes working with interdepartmental teams.
  • Communicates effectively with internal departments to ensure QA project plans meet desired business needs and timelines.

Deployment and Delivery

  • Orchestrates the delivery methodologies/mechanisms of software to customers
  • Manages initial rollout of new versions, patches, hotfixes to client sites.
  • Trains Technical Services department on deployment/installation instructions.
  • Maintains and publishes all product deliverables to clients.
  • Develops and maintains code revert back system.

Release Management

  • Organizes, directs, and manages activities for building and maintaining software deliverables for their promotion to client production sites.
  • Works with software development team to delineate each product component that will be required to comprise a release.
  • Performs full assement report of each product deliverable, including impact on client environments, external server and workstation dependencies. 
  • Manages version-version migration issues, impacts, and processes.
  • Maintains history of all patch non-patch related deliverables, including client specific deliverables.

Documentation

  • Oversees creation of all documentation related to QA test plans, QA processes, Deployment instructions, and release management process.
  • Oversees internal dissemination and collaboration of all HLS product test plans, and QA/Deployment related documentation, and Release Management assessment reports.

Job Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science related field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of software development experience.
  • Experience with each of the following: web-based applications, SQL server, C #, J-Script, ASP, J-Query, Microsoft Tool Set, HTML required.
  • Must have excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies rapidly.
  • Must have strong logic skills, be able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously,  and demonstrate well-developed problem solving skills.
  • Must demonstrate excellent time-management, prioritization, attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Must have the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.

Toolset Experience Required:

  • Team Foundation Server, Project, SharePoint.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

This position is primarily sedentary in a normal office environment.
Extensive computer usage and use of the phone.
Could lift up to 20 lbs.

Client Support Specialist

HealthLine Systems, a leading software solutions provider for the healthcare industry, is seeking a Client Support Specialist to provide end-user support and training for our medical credentialing, call center, quality, and optometric office software. This position will operate from our Rancho Bernardo corporate office.

Support Responsibilities:

Work with end users to troubleshoot and resolve software issues over the telephone and via a web-based remote desktop control tool.

Training Responsibilities:

  • Conduct training in our training facilities, at customer sites, or via the Internet.
  • Analyze training needs, develop training objectives, and select appropriate instructional techniques and methodologies for the delivery of training.
  • Develop new product training workbooks and materials and periodically update existing ones.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly assess client requests and identify solutions
  • 1-2 years software training or support experience highly preferred
  • Strong customer-focused orientation
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Windows XP, Vista and 7 Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • BS/BA in a related program

Additional knowledge:

  • Healthcare experience is desirable.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Technical Specialist

We are seeking an energetic, skilled Technical Specialist to support the implementation of our healthcare software products. This is a full-time position providing technical assistance with all aspects of the implementation process. This includes: coordinating, planning, transferring, and testing data from client sources to our proprietary database structures. This position will also have some client interaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Using appropriate programming and technical tools to extract, transform, and load data from client data sources into HLS’s databases.
  • Performing data- related custom programming projects, such as scripts, triggers, etc., as deemed appropriate by Client Services Management.

Requirements include:

  • Ability to write, analyze, and develop SQL code.
  • A fundamental understanding of relational database theory and set-based logic.
  • 1 - 2 years experience with data extraction and transformation tools – Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 highly preferred; Visual FoxPro and/or Oracle 8i/10g desirable.
  • Must have strong, well-developed problem solving skills and the ability to learn new technical concepts quickly.
  • Excellent time-management, organization, prioritization, and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing technical projects.

Implementation Specialist

Manage successful implementation of HLS software products at client sites. Coordinate resolution of client issues associated with successful implementation. Analyze business needs and make recommendations for automation opportunities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop implementation project plans appropriate for each client.
  • Manage software implementation projects and the resources necessary to ensure a smooth transition with multiple clients simultaneously. Review commitments for technical services, training and project management, ensuring that all commitments are executed according to contractual obligations.
  • Manage ongoing status meetings and communication with clients to ensure that the implementation project is moving forward in a manner consistent with the project plan. Coordinate resolution of client issues and concerns.

Requirements include:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
  • 2+ years software implementation or senior level technical support; healthcare experience highly desirable.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple client relationships simultaneously.
  • Have professional poise and comfort with leading discussions with client decision makers, end-users and IT professionals.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Eyecom Senior Sales Consultant

The successful candidate must be an energetic self-motivator to help develop and strengthen our local and national territory. This position will provide a vital and direct link between Eyecom software products and the ophthalmic industry. In this role, you will be communicating with eyecare professionals and independent medical offices to provide insight on using Eyecom to manage and grow their practice.

The Sales Consultant will qualify calls, conduct online demonstrations, and close sales. Must enjoy vigorous phone conversations that both excite and provide real solutions to our prospective customers. Prospective leads are developed through marketing, referrals or tradeshows. This position requires limited travel. We offer a base salary with a high commission structure to motivate your sales success.

Requirements:
